Think Before You Add to Your Cart

Let me share with you all about what I feel while scrolling browsing through all eco-friendly and sustainable living pages on social media is let’s change everything, throw all the plastic, and buy lots of nature-friendly things ( Share your thoughts in the comments section).

But is this a correct way ?

In my view, A big “NO” to all such unnecessary shoppings!!,

Imbibing sustainable living is a good thought and indeed a great initiative at the individual level but at the same time in my view, it is a slow process too.

Take one step at a time and no need to go all shopping at once. Sustainability also resembles using things correctly and no need to throw or get rid of the plastic that you can reuse.

Always remember one thing, if you stop using something non-sustainable, remember it will not vanish suddenly, it will remain there in ecosystem. So, before getting rid of anything non-sustainable, think and dispose of it responsibly.

As an owner of a brand that provides sustainable living solutions, I will not suggest having an overnight eco-friendly transition. Go slowly and think before you buy or add a thing to your cart while doing online shopping, do you really need that, and is it a sustainable product.

In our current lifestyle, it’s not easy to discard all the things in the house which are not eco-friendly. Sustainability is not just using environment-friendly things but also maximum use of things and resources which you already have.

Buying things which we don’t need results in unnecessary stocking in the house and further discarding in the environment.

Can this thought be a homeschooling idea?

It’s a wonderful way of homeschool learning for our kids. No need to give them so many options of toys at the same time.

They learn what they see.

Try toy rotation, believe me when they see their toy after one week, it seems new to them and they’ll play with more excitement each time.

Or let them get bored, rather than just giving them the option of gadgets.

When child is bored , he/ she can be more creative, it builds their power of imagination, they can be innovative.

Sitting with gadgets at the same place and staring at that screen is not going to spark any imagination

To make our planet bloom & smile again, not only us adults need to follow the path of sustainability but make our younger ones learn it too.

At last, I would suggest using sustainable, use less, use for longer duration whatever you use, and don’t forget to try this homeschool idea.

I am a mother of two and always thought of giving a good nature-friendly learning environment for homeschooling my kids. In that journey with step-by-step learning saw the magic of open-ended play/toys. Open-ended play/toys give a child to explore a vast imagination and creativity because open-ended toys don't come with an instruction manual. In addition to that, It allows children to be creative, role play, problem-solve, take risks, learn through trials and error, independent play, motor skill, leadership and so much more!! Our open-ended toys are nonbattery operated and made with nature-friendly materials. We are aware that we are taking from nature in the manufacturing process of our toys, hence we pledge to give nature in return by planting a sapling with the sale of each toy.
